KANDAHAR, PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Marines from Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regimennt, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, NATO International Security Assistance Force, run in the early morning here. BLT 1/6 is the ground combat element for the 24th MEU. The MEU is currently deployed in support of NATO-ISAF forces in Afghanistan. The 24th MEU brought more than 2,300 Marines and sailors to the region to conduct full-spectrum operations.
My son is with Charlie Co 1st Plt and would like to say that we as proud parents are proud of our son miguel and the rest of all the marines and sailors deployed to afghanistan keep it up
It was nice to see my son up in the morning on a run!
